One of the only lasting sweet wine tasting rooms in Solvang. We cater to those that enjoy the sweet life. Royal Oaks carries a wide variety of dessert wines that range from a Moscato to the popular Concord. Touching the palate of the more traditional wine drinkers we also carry drier style wines to taste.
Royal Oaks offers is their very own wine and chocolate pairing. Sweet and dry wines paired with rich chocolate truffles crafted by Santa Barbara’s Chocolatier, Jessica Foster and Stafford’s hand crafter chocolates.

Relax on an outdoor patio or in the newly remodeled tasting room while tasting a combination of wine, chocolates, and truffles.

Hosting your own event? Royal Oaks has a backroom where they put on wine and painting classes and other events for members and guests to enjoy. For more information on booking your event with wine, please contact the winery.



Located in the heart of the Danish town of Solvang. Royal Oaks is Solvang’s premier winery specializing in sweet wines. The grape varietals used for our wine come from Honeywood Winery in Salem, OR. These varietals need to grow in the cool climates in OR to achieve that special crispness and sweet flavors that come from growing these grapes at a constant cool temperature, versus the warm climate in California.

History: How Royal Oaks came to be - Mr. Adams, of Adam’s Wine Group, bought the production facility on the now Roblar property in 2004 and started producing his own dry wines with the Royal Oaks label. This started the original tasting room in Solvang. He selected the sweet wines that he felt would represent the Royal Oaks label. Once Royal Oaks’ sister winery, Roblar, opened in 2007 they started producing dry wines with their own label.

Each sweet wine at Royal Oaks is vastly unique in flavor and dimension. The many different flavors come from a different fruit used in each wine. These fruits are fermented the same way as wine and then bottled as such. Some of these wines do not even contain grapes, i.e. the Winter Pear is solely fermented pears, while the Noir Blanc is 80% Pinot Noir and 20% fermented berries, fermented separately and then added together at a later time.
