Local low income seniors receiving essential items from Dignity Health staff

CENTRAL COAST, CA April 25, 2020 – In a proactive effort to care for the most vulnerable during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dignity Health Central Coast Home Health, Hospice, and Infusion have partnered with Bell’s Restaurant in Los Alamos to help local low income seniors through this particularly difficult time. With additional risk factors associated with this elderly population and the coronavirus, the two teamed up to provide essentials to those in need. 

Because of Dignity Health’s longstanding relationship with Golden Inn and Village in Santa Ynez Valley, the two organizations partnered to ease some of the burden of local seniors. Today at 4:00p.m. at the Golden Inn and Village, Bell’s Restaurant will be providing a gourmet meal to each resident, and Dignity Health Central Coast will be providing personal hygiene kits with toilet paper and other personal items.  

“Dignity Health Central Coast has received an outpouring of support from our local communities during the COVID-19 pandemic, says Kathy Sullivan, PhD RN, Vice President of Post-Acute Care Services, Central Coast Division, Dignity Health. “Any opportunity we have to give back to those in need, we are happy to do. Now more than ever, these fragile individuals need assistance, and we are proud to have partnered with local Bell’s Restaurant to step in and show our support.” 

Bell's serves French bistro classics alongside seasonally changing items inspired by California and local farmers from chef & owner Daisy Ryan.

The gratitude of the community continues to draw an outpouring of support from many local companies and organizations throughout the Santa Maria Valley.
