Farmer's Market moving to Copenhagen Street Temporarily

Jun 17, 2020

I am writing to let you know that upon request of businesses on Copenhagen during the street closure and period of Social distancing, we have worked with the Solvang Farmer’s market to temporarily move onto Copenhagen Street on Wednesday’s.

A few notes:

  1. This will allow First street to remain open, alleviating the traffic congestion caused with both Copenhagen and First street closed.
  2. The Farmer’s Market has agreed to not park their vehicles on the street which ensures the sidewalks are open and inviting to allow Farmer’s Market patrons to window shop along Copenhagen.
  3. The Farmers have been asked to be respectful of the businesses and ensure both sides of their spaces are attractive to Guests and are promptly tidied.

We are confident that this change will be beneficial to the residents and businesses however we ask for everyone’s patience as we work out any unforeseen kinks tomorrow. As always, any feedback is welcome and encouraged on Thursday.

In an effort to get the word out, we’ve asked our Production Coordinator Angie to walk Copenhagen street today to let businesses now. We would appreciate the support of the Chamber of Commerce and Solvang Retailers Association in getting the word out as well.

Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
