SBCAG applications open for Oversight committee

 SBCAG are days away from our July 29 deadline for applications to serve on the Measure A Citizens Oversight Committee that has two open vacancies for North County Members in addition to an “At-Large” position. SBCAG is following up with you as we are looking for more applications from North County to be represented in our selection process.

SBCAG has linked below resources to assist with recruitment efforts, specifically demographic information of current members and a roles/responsibilities type job description. The roles/responsibilities are included in the linked committee’s bylaws document. The ability to serve on the committee as a member is subject to Board of Director’s appointment and members are to serve without compensation.

Of note – stated in the application and within the Measure A Ordinance, Section 22: Employees  and  elected  officials  of  local  governments  in  Santa  Barbara  County,  employees  or  policy  board  members of transit districts in Santa Barbara County, and persons with a personal financial interest in a project or program  in  the  Investment  Plan  are  ineligible  to  serve  as  representatives on  the  Measure  A  Citizens  Oversight  Committee
