County Interim Greenhouse Gas Thresholds Workshop
Tuesday, September 8, 2020
12:00 PM via Webinar
The Interim Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Thresholds of Significance (Interim Thresholds) will provide the County of Santa Barbara Planning and Development Department (P&D) with criteria to determine if GHG emissions from projects will have a significant cumulative effect on climate change during environmental review in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act. (CEQA).
P&D will update the County Environmental Thresholds and Guidelines Manual with the adopted Interim Thresholds once available. The Interim Thresholds, once adopted, will be in effect until the County adopts Final GHG Emissions Thresholds as part of the County’s 2030 Climate Action Plan (expected to occur in 2022).
Please join us to explore the draft Interim GHG Emissions Thresholds of Significance and discuss future project steps. For questions regarding the public webinar, please contact Selena Evilsizor, Senior Planner, at [email protected] or (805) 568-3577.
