COVID-19 Update from Cottage Health – March 10, 2021

Below is a status update as of March 10, 2021. 

• Cottage Health is caring for a total of 278 patients across all campuses.
• At Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital:
  180 are acute care patients; 44 acute care beds remain available.  
• Of the 180 acute care patients, 11 patients are on ventilators.
  100 ventilators remain available (adult, pediatric and neonatal ventilators).
• Of the 180 acute care patients, 17 are in isolation with COVID-19 symptoms;
  16 are confirmed COVID-19 positive.
• Of the 17 patients in isolation, 6 are in critical care.
• SBCH adult critical care available capacity: 40.0%
• From Feb 22-28  
  3,225 COVID-19 laboratory tests were collected by Cottage Health.
  Results: 135 positive, 3,090 negative
• From Mar 1-7
  3,063 COVID-19 laboratory tests were collected by Cottage Health.
  Results: 112 positive, 2,939 negative, 12 pending
