VisitSYV, Premier Destination Marketing Organization for the Santa Ynez Valley, Elects Linda Johansen new Board President

(SANTA YNEZ VALLEY, Calif.)—A pillar of the community with years of philanthropic experience and tourism expertise, Visit the Santa Ynez Valley (VisitSYV) is proud to announce Linda Johansen has been elected board president. Johansen shared her enthusiasm over taking this lead role, stating, “As a charter member of this organization, I am very honored and proud to serve as President. I continue my family's legacy in serving our community with passion and love.” Born and raised in Solvang, California, Johansen is part owner of King Frederik Inn and Pea Soup Andersen’s Inn and serves as the Director of Sales & Marketing for each property. Johansen serves her community further through organizing independent group travel, fundraising for local charitable organizations since 2008.


VisitSYV Executive Director, Shelby Sim, shares admiration for Johansen’s dedication to the community, remarking, “I am very excited to have Linda, a generational native to the SYV and untiring advocate for sharing our special place with the world, as our new president.” Johansen has sat on over 20 boards serving the community and has represented Solvang and the Santa Ynez Valley at conventions throughout the US for more than 25 years. She is joined on the board by Vice President Barry Prescott, Treasurer Bion Rice, Secretary Bob Oswaks, Cammy Pinoli, Jim Rice, Randolph Pace, and James Colvin.
