Women Winemakers Celebration 2020

Women Winemakers Celebration

Sunday, March 8, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM (PDT)

With a higher percentage of female winemakers than most of the world's wine regions, Santa Barbara wine country has much to celebrate on International Women's Day, which focuses on working women. Our belief is that our wines shine with great food and good company, and we invite you to join us "at the table" (and on the Farm).

Expect 20+ women winemakers pouring their wines in a pre-brunch reception, and at the wine-paired, sit-down brunch: a 4-course feast prepared by some of the area's best female chefs, restaurateurs and food crafters, served right in the middle of Roblar Farm. Culinary talent for this year's event includes: Chef Brooke Stockwell (Executive Chef, Gleason Family Vineyards); baker Amy Dixon (The Baker's Table, Santa Ynez); Chef Cynthia Miranda and Alicia Valencia (The Lucky Hen Larder, Santa Ynez); Chef Golzar Barrera of the Santa Ynez Valley's All Purpose Flower; Theo Stephan (Los Olivos' Global Gardens); the ladies from Sass Catering and Pattibakes (Buellton); Joy and Taylor, owners of Solvang Spice Merchant; Leyla Williams and the team at Solvang's Good Seed Coffee Boutique; Missy Morales of Lompoc's Sweet Baking Co.; and Chef Robin Reynolds of the Dunn School, in Los Olivos.

In addition to the seated brunch portion of the day, this year’s event will feature a reception-style wine tasting at Roblar Farm, adjacent to the brunch tables. During the pre-brunch reception (11:00 AM to 12:30 PM), nearly two dozen women winemakers will be on-hand to pour tastes of their wines and talk with event guests. Reception will include passed appetizers, a cheese table, and live music.

A VIP-level ticket for this year's event (the "Full Feast") will include both the tasting reception and the seated brunch, where guests will be treated to wine pairings by, and conversation with, an exclusive selection of some of Santa Barbara County’s female winemakers, who will also be announced in the coming weeks.

{Please Note: Discounted 'designated driver' tickets are available upon request.}

*** All event profits will benefit the Womens Fund of Northern Santa Barbara County.***
