This October's Third Wednesday will get you in
the mood for Fall with the West End Fall Frolic

The West End happenings will begin at 5:30pm and continue into the evening.  There will be live music in front of Wandering Dog Wine Bar (1539-C Mission Drive); free treats and cider; a doggie costume contest sponsored by Lemos Feed & Pet Supply; free admission to the Wildling Museum; and even more in store for all West End "frolickers".

The Lemos-sponsored doggie costume contest and parade kicks off at 5:45 PM, with prizes being awarded for best costumes in three categories: "Funniest", "Scariest" and "Most Original". To enter the costume contest, human handlers should show up in front of Lemos (1511 Mission Drive) by 5:45 PM, with their animal counterparts.

Don't miss the Sct. Assumption School Big Band
Direct from Aalborg Denmark!  2:30pm at Solvang Park

The Sct. Assumption School Big Band has 31 members ages 12 -18. The orchestra, led by music teacher Gert Nørgaard, plays a wide repertoire with an emphasis on happy, swinging jazz music including music by Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington, Benny Goodman, Elvis Presley, Lennon & McCartney & Michael Jackson. The Big Band is based at St. Assumption School, the Catholic private school in Aalborg, and it is also associated with Aalborg Culture School.
